Supabase Auth is the login system built into Supabase, the Postgres-based backend. Users are stored as rows in your own database, and access rules are enforced with row-level security rather than a separate vendor user store.

Because it ships with the database, storage, and realtime, the $25 Pro plan covers your whole backend rather than auth alone. The free tier includes 50,000 monthly active users, though free projects pause after seven days of inactivity and you are capped at two active projects.

Overage past the included users is $0.00325 per MAU, the cheapest hosted rate here, and the stack is open source so you can self-host later with no user-store migration. What you give up is a prebuilt UI on par with Clerk's.
